Exciting new collaboration with M&S

We have entered into a new partnership with M&S to design the basis of their Contemporary homewares offer.

The new ‘Conran Exclusive Design Only at M&S’ collection will include a wide range of home products incorporating furniture, bedding, lighting and kitchenware.

Designed by Sir Terence Conran and his team at Conran & Company, in collaboration with M&S product developers, the collection will retain the quality and value customers expect from M&S, coupled with the unique Conran design signature.

Marc Bolland, Chief Executive, M&S said: “M&S is one of the UK’s most iconic retailers and I’m very proud to announce our exciting, new collaboration with arguably Britain’s most influential designer of the last fifty years. I’ve long admired the work of Sir Terence – his name is synonymous with exquisite modern design and he was the natural choice of partner to help us create our Contemporary homeware range.”

Sir Terence Conran said: “To work with M&S on this project is the opportunity of a lifetime. It gives us the chance to produce a truly democratic and British collection, something that I have been aiming to achieve all my working life. Everything that William Morris and the Bauhaus, both great inspirations to me, hoped to achieve. This is our chance at last. Our discussions with Marc Bolland and his excellent team at M&S have been incredibly productive and inspiring and we cannot say enough how thrilled we are to be working on this serious design project.”

The first products will be available in stores and online from September 2011. Further roll-out will continue throughout 2012 and the collection is expected to build overtime to form a large part of the M&S Home department.
